How To Take A Good Selfie – Kim Ja Youn, Year 7, Sayfol International School
These
days, everyone is taking selfies. Some people even become celebrities, thanks
to the selfies that they posted on the internet. As technology develops, people
are taking better and better selfies. Here are some tips on how to take a good
selfie.
Firstly,
you’ve got to find a good spot. Wherever you are, there must be light. So,
stand under the light. This is because your face will look fairer and brighter
if you are under the light. Any light will do but I do not suggest standing
under a blue light unless you want to look like a Smurf. Take your selfie where
the scenery is splendid. A nice background makes a lot of difference.
Secondly,
you must get the perfect angle. If light is like a muscle, angle is like the skeleton.
These two things are the basics of a selfie. It doesn’t matter if you are
taking the selfie from the left or the right. If you have a pimple on the left,
take it from the right. If the opposite is true, take it from the left. I have
found that the perfect angle from which to take a selfie is 45°. The angle really depends on what
effect you want to create.
Lastly, download some apps. Choose an app that is suitable
for you. Just because your friend is using a certain app, it doesn’t mean that
you should use it too. If it is not suitable for you, it might make you look
worse rather than better. The filters in the apps are very useful. If you learn
to use them properly, you could create a really beautiful selfie.
If you follow these steps and still can’t take a good selfie,
I would suggest that you consider plastic surgery!
